PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

"Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours."
- St. Teresa of Avila

Choosing a school for your child’s education is one of the most important decisions that parents must make for their child. This world desperately needs leaders and citizens who take the courage to lead our society toward an increased moral and ethical presence. We are very blessed to have a Catholic school in Bowling Green where students are taught daily to make the world a better place by using their gifts and talents to show glory and praise to God.

The mission of St. Joseph Interparochial School is to teach as Jesus did, challenging our students to embrace the gospel message, to achieve their academic best, and to make a positive difference in the world. As the quote above states, we must be the hands and feet of Jesus on the Earth; our roles here at St. Joseph School is to teach the students how to do just that by serving others.

This school has built and maintains a strong Catholic identity. Our teachers and staff work hard to integrate our Catholic teachings and gospel values into all they teach. Each day begins and ends with prayer, in addition to the prayer life the students experience in their classrooms. We also celebrate Mass together once a week and throughout the year our students participate in Catholic sacraments and traditions such as the sacrament of Reconciliation, praying the rosary, the chaplet of the divine mercy, and the stations of the cross. Service to others is also an integral part of our school’s mission and curriculum. We encourage our students to be involved in service projects that help our school, parishes, local community and people around the world.

St. Joseph School follows the curriculum set forth by the Diocese of Owensboro. Our assessment scores can be found on this website and show that we strive to provide a challenging curriculum with academic excellence. We are very proud of the ways that our highly qualified teachers bring the curriculum alive for their students each day by using innovative instructional strategies, integrating technology, and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all of their students. At the same time, they are able to keep you well-informed of student progress. We are working hard to take students as high as they can go academically. We also offer a variety of activities that students can get involved in—check out our web site to explore those opportunities.

If you are new to St. Joseph School this year, we extend a warm welcome and promise a fulfilling and challenging year. We hope you quickly feel a part of this wonderful faith-filled community.
