"Dear young people, do not bury your talents, the gifts that God has given you! Do not be afraid to dream of great things!"
- Pope Francis
Choosing a school for your child’s education is one of the most important decisions that parents must make for their child. We are very blessed to have a Catholic school in Bowling Green and Warren County where I truly believe we live out our mission to help our young people find and use their gifts and talents to show glory and praise to God.
The mission of St. Joseph Interparochial School is to teach as Jesus did, challenging our students to embrace the gospel message, to achieve their academic best, and to make a positive difference in the world.
I am very proud of our strong Catholic identity. Our teachers do an excellent job of integrating our Catholic teachings and gospel values into all they teach. We begin and end each day with communal prayer; this is in addition to the prayer life the students experience in their classrooms. We also celebrate mass together once a week and throughout the year our students participate in Catholic sacraments and traditions such as the sacrament of Reconciliation, praying the rosary, the chaplet of the divine mercy, and the stations of the cross. Service to others is also an integral part of our school’s mission and curriculum. We encourage our students to be involved in service projects that help our school, parishes, local community and people around the world.
St. Joseph School follows the curriculum framework set forth by the Diocese of Owensboro. Our scores on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills and the Explore test can be found on this website and show that we strive to provide a challenging curriculum with academic excellence. I am very proud of the ways I see our highly qualified teachers bring the curriculum alive for their students each day by using innovative instructional strategies, integrating technology, and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all of their students.
If you are new to St. Joseph School this year, we extend a warm welcome and promise a fulfilling and challenging year. We hope you quickly feel a part of this wonderful faith community. To our returning families, we give thanks for the blessing that you are to our school and look forward to continuing our relationship with your family.
If you are interested in learning more about St. Joseph School or would like to schedule a tour, please come by the school or call the office. We look forward to meeting with you and sharing our school with you. I’m sure that you will feel the difference that a Christ centered education will make in your child’s life when you enter our doors.
Sincerely in Christ,
Mrs. Jan Lange
