The St. Joseph Interparochial Endowment Fund

Mission: To encourage financial stewardship and generosity in order to sustain a solid foundation and lasting legacy of St Joseph School.

During the winter of 2023 a group of friends had a conversation over dinner that centered around St. Joseph School. They agreed the school needed a sustainable means of funding, source of funds that would ensure the future needs of the school would be met. “Why doesn’t St Joseph School have an endowment fund?” St Joseph School NEEDS an endowment fund in order to be a thriving means of catholic education. The conversation led to an inquiry with the Diocese of Owensboro Catholic Foundation of Western Kentucky.
As divine providence would have it, St Joseph School does indeed have an endowment account! A very modest amount but more importantly it signified that others who recognized the need for sustainable funding as early as 1990 had done the work of creating the fund. What a gift. Now, it is time to grow this fund, which will provide a consistent source of funding for Catholic education in Bowling Green/Warren county.

In 1910-1911, Father T.J. Hayes wanted a school built next to the church on Church Street and acquired the property to build a school. Just as we do today, Father Hayes recognized the importance of high quality education delivered within a strong Catholic environment. Acknowledging the year that Fr. Hayes began building the school, we created The 1910 Society to focus our efforts on raising funds as well as raising awareness to the importance of providing an excellent Catholic education for every child who enters its doors.
Members of The 1910 Society have pledged $10,000 to the St. Joseph Interparochial School endowment to be donated over 10 years. St. Joseph School is inviting you to join The 1910 Society. It is time for us to come together to grow and sustain a solid financial foundation to ensure St. Joseph School continues to serve our children, grandchildren and the community of Bowling Green.
